Terms & Conditions

Welcome to the Vintage Dress Boutique website Terms & Conditions. Please read through them carefully before placing your order. By using this website and/or placing an order you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below. Please also read our Privacy Statement regarding personal information provided by you.

 

Before placing an order, if you have any queries relating to these terms and conditions, please email us at  

 

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an e-mail to confirm that we have received your order. Once we have checked the price and availability of the goods, we will email you again to confirm that we accept your order and that a contract has been made between us. We will not take payment from you until we have accepted your order. 

 

In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. In this instance, you will not receive an e-mail confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.

 

We may change these terms from time to time without notice to you. Changes will apply to any subsequent orders received. Once your order has been confirmed, we will not be able to make any changes. 

 

 

DELIVERY 

The Veil Boutique delivers throughout the UK and internationally. If your order is in stock we will endeavour to dispatch it within 24 hours of the time the order was placed.  We will contact you to advise of any likely delay in delivery but we would ask that you allow up to 28 days for delivery or longer as specified. 

 

Delivery in the UK

Delivery is charged at £5.95 when item/s are sent to a mainland UK address (excluding Scottish Highlands and Islands). 


Delivery to the Scottish Higlands and Islands is £18.00.


All items are carefully packaged and adequately insured and delivered by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or Standard Parcels Service and/or via a courier.

 

International Delivery

We do ship internationally. Please see charges listed for despatch to the following locations: Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly £12.00; The Channel Islands £9.50; Republic Of Ireland £8.50; Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg £16.00; France, Germany, Denmark £18.00; Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece £21.00; Rest of Europe £20.00; United States of America, Canada £26.00; Far East, Australia £38.00; Rest of World £30.00. 

 

All Deliveries

We will always despatch items using the quickest method possible whilst providing the necessary insurance. There may be times when items are delayed beyond our control and we cannot be held responsible for this. We will notify you by email once your item has been dispatched. If your item has not arrived within 5 working days of this notice you should inform us immediately.


If more than one item is purchased at a time, please note, items may be packaged and despatched separately due size and weight restrictions when mailing.


Customers are responsible for the payment of any charges from Royal Mail or other couriers for recovery of parcels after failed delivery or to Customs for any tax or duty required to be paid in the destination country.


All items are carefully packaged and adequately insured and delivered by either Royal Mail Special Delivery or Standard Parcels Service and/or by courier.

PRICE AND PAYMENT   

The total cost of the order is the price of the products ordered plus any delivery charges. We accept payments via PayPal, you can pay either by credit or debit card or using a credit balance from your personal PayPal account.

 

Overseas Customers 

The actual price charged to overseas customers will be subject to the exchange rate applied by the customer's credit or debit card company. Customers outside the United Kingdom will also be liable for any import duty, quotas, permits, product restrictions and other local requirements. You are advised to check the latest applicable local requirements before placing an order.

 

Credit Card Validation 

All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to, or does not for any reason, authorise payment then you will be notified of this immediately at the check-out stage.


In assessing your request for goods or services, we may use your information for the purposes of the prevention and detection of fraud. One of the purposes for which we may disclose your address and postcode details is to check against any Fraud Prevention Scheme. At all times where we disclose your information it will remain secure. If you believe your details are incorrect you may correct those details by following the procedure set out in our Privacy Statement.

 

 

RETURNS AND REFUND POLICY 

In the event that you wish to return any items purchased from the Vintage Dress Boutique for refund or exchange, you must inform us of your intention to return by email within 7 working days of receipt of the item/s.  Please send emails to   

 


As soon as we receive your request for a return we will issue you with a Return Authorization Code. This code must be displayed on the outside of the packaging. PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY UNAUTHORIZED RETURNED PACKAGES CANNOT BE PROCESSED AND SHALL BE RETURNED TO SENDER.


If you wish to exchange your gown for another size please consider your current item size carefully. If your gown is too big you may wish to have the gown altered by a reputable seamstress in order to obtain a perfect fit. If the gown is only a little snug, please remember that evening gowns are supposed to fit more snugly than normal everyday clothing.


The Vintage Dress Boutique can only accept returned items if they are received in original condition, with any original tags attached, complete with all original packaging and with a Returns Authorization Code displayed on the outside of the packaging.


We recommend using an insured and traceable method of delivery such as Royal Mail Special Delivery, as we cannot be held responsible for goods lost in transit to us. You are responsible for the cost of returning any items to us.


On receipt of the item/s we will refund you via the original method of payment (credit card, cheque, etc). If you wish to exchange your item/s you will be charged for any difference in value and will be responsible for the cost to deliver the new item.


You must return any items in a saleable condition, for example, with tags (where applicable), with original packaging, and items must not have been worn by you, with no new traces of make-up, deodorant, any odours such as smoke, perfume or body odours, or with alterations and so on will be repackaged and returned to sender and no refund or exchange will be processed.

The refund will be processed once your goods are received by us and have been inspected. Please note that it may take 2-5 working days for the refund to show in your account or a specific period of time stipulated by your bank/credit card provider. 


Special Offer Returns

If you return a single item bought as part of a multi-buy discount offer you will be refunded the full price of that item less the total discount given in the offer. If you return all items purchased with the multi-buy discount you will be refunded with the full multi-buy value. 

 

Your Statutory Rights

Your UK statutory rights are not affected by our Return & Refunds Policy.

 

 

PRODUCT INFORMATION 

We make every effort to display our products and colours as accurately as possible. However we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will accurately reflect the colour of the product on delivery.


All sizes and measurements are approximate, however we do make every effort to ensure they are as accurate as possible.


We will take all reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products appearing on the website are correct at the time when the relevant information was entered onto the website. We reserve the right to refuse orders where product information has been miss-published, including prices and promotions.


Prices are subject to change without notice.

 

Purchase of Products

When you place an order on our website we shall email you an acknowledgement. Our acceptance of an order takes place once we confirm that your product is available and the expected delivery date and you agree to proceed with the purchase. Once you check out and your order has been confirmed you will not be able to make any changes to your order so please make sure that everything is correct before clicking the confirm button.


We reserve the right to refuse an order. Non-acceptance of an order may, for example, result from one of the following:


 - The product ordered is no longer available / is discontinued 
 -
Our inability to obtain authorisation of payment 
 -
The identification of an error within the product information, including price or promotion. If there are any problems with your order we shall contact you. We reserve the right to reject any offer to purchase by you at any time.


We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is within our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the website.

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law and it is agreed that the English courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction in the event of a dispute. If any terms shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severed and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
